Strawbilt Project Team History Systems Hands-On |
Sustainability is the use of present and future technologies that minimize the use of natural resources and maximize the availability of these resources to our grandchildren and all future generations. Renewable Energy is generated by free fuels such as the sun, wind and hotsprings. The purpose of Strawbilt is educational - to stress the importance of good stewardship and creativity. These pages present a case study of the sustainable building and renewable energy projects at The Monastery of Christ in the Desert (MCD), including: desciptive articles written by the Project Team, technical details, building site photos, schematic drawings and blueprints, and a wealth of resources in the field of sustainable building and renewable energy. |
